As you say, we're all different, with different strengths and needs. Like you, I think I have a reasonable balance between book-learning and intuition, and that spending time with the cards can only strengthen that connection, and broaden our perspectives. Everything else is optional :)Inner Whispershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04577110987784585986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-695429841529630819.post-12195912278534842562013-11-18T14:39:55.250-05:002013-11-18T14:39:55.250-05:00Hey Ellen! I think it's harder to develop trust in your intuitive feelings when you memorize meanings first, so I think it might be nice to have people start with intuition, and then move into book meanings to learn the balance in that order. (You know, "I feel that maybe this card is telling me that I need to go back to school, but that's not at all what the book says it's supposed to mean, so I'm probably wrong…") I agree about the Wildwood :) New structures help make us uncomfortable enough to make it feel almost like starting from scratch!Olivia Petershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13787218597949074958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-695429841529630819.post-54326121816050163542013-11-18T14:17:12.082-05:002013-11-18T14:17:12.082-05:00I usually take a bit form both sides. Sometimes I choose one book just to compare my intuitive insights with.<br />Perhaps that's one reason why I like the Wildwood tarot that much. It lets me start all over again.Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02617686222764658629noreply@blogger.com
